About Turner
Austin-based violinist Turner Partain enjoys a busy schedule of performances throughout the state of Texas. His freelance orchestral work has led to performances with the San Antonio Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, Victoria Symphony, and the Midland-Odessa Symphony Orchestra. He’s also performed as a chamber musician with the Austin Chamber Music Center and on a featured broadcast of Houston Public Media. He has also performed in productions at Zach Theatre, Zilker Musical Productions, the Long Center, Bass Performing Arts Center, and Wagner-Noel Performing Arts. He received a Masters of Music under Daniel Ching from the University of Texas and a Bachelors of Music under Kyung Sun Lee from the University of Houston. He has also attended the Round Top Music Festival-Institute, Aspen Music Festival, and the Interlochen Arts Camp. A passionate teacher and advocate for the arts, he teaches a private studio of dedicated students. He also enjoys studying the relationship between creativity, spirituality, and psychology.
